  • To provide access and opportunities for quality education through distance and open learning leading to employability and income generation
  • To promote and conduct research
  • To utilize information technology for development of the less privileged

TALEEM Research Foundation was set up in 1996 as an autonomous, literary, scientific and charitable society and trust. Social science research, capacity building and alternate learning initiatives are its three main areas of interest.

'TALEEM', meaning education and training, is also an acronym for Transnational Alternate Learning for Emancipation and Empowerment through Multimedia.


Registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 of Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies vide registration no. GUJ/5539/Ahmedabad dated 17-5-1996.
Registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 vide registration no. F/5390/Ahmedabad dated 17-5-1996.
A recognized Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
