photo 2A, 2B (TALEEM) TALEEM Research Foundation was set up as an initiative by the Essel Group of Industries to channelize part of its creative and financial resources to address some issues of social and national concern like over-population, environment preservation and equitable distribution of resources such as education, health services and income generating skills. Infrastructure Facilities Photo 3, 4, 5 The Foundation has its own premises of 5,000 sq.ft. with adequate space for faculty, a boardroom, and a training hall. It has excellent communication connectivity with multiple telephone lines, fax, and broadband Internet connection. There is a well-equipped computer lab with 17 Pentium computers including six multimedia computers and six machines equipped with special software for high speed data processing, six inkjet printers, one laser printer and one digital photocopier-cum-printer. Computers are connected with LAN and online internet facility with UPS. Training support equipment like public address system, audiovisual equipment such as TV/VCR, LCD, slide projector, hard, soft and magnetic boards are also available. The Foundation has two scanners and one digital camera. The Foundation owns two vehicles. The Foundation has one 5 KVA Diesel Generator set. Experienced Human Resource photo 6 (faculty meeting) The Foundation has a full-time multi-disciplinary core faculty that has extensive research and project management experience. They bring with them several years of national and international research and evaluation experiences. They are supported by an expert resource bank of adjunct and consulting faculty who contribute to the Foundation’s mission in various capacities, both in terms of shaping policy and guiding programmes. Expertise in Statistical Analysis The Foundation has a full fledge for statistical analysis unit with the help of an expert in-charge of computer unit responsible for carrying out a variety of statistical qualitative and quantitative analysis. The consulting faculties have over three decades of experience of sampling, survey design and quantitative analysis. The Foundation is capable of carrying out any large-scale statistical analysis including rapid election studies carried out in Mumbai and Gujarat elections. Networking with Other Institutions and Professionals The Foundation follows a policy of collaborative work and is networked with various academic and research organizations across the world. It is therefore well positioned to effectively mobilize appropriate technical and human resources to ensure timely and quality output. TALEEM has built up a resource pool of designers, creative talent and performing artists, both individuals and organizations, who contribute regularly for IEC material development. Organisational Structure The Foundation has under its auspices, The Himgiri Nabh Vishwa Vidayalaya- University in the Sky, the Asian Communications and Creative Arts Research Institute for Training and Information (ACCRITI) and Programme for Rural Development, Guidance and Training Initiatives (PRAGITI). |
